For more than 27 years, our shop has combined real classroom experience with a professional approach to string instrument sales, rentals, and repairs. Since coming under new ownership in 2020, Atlanta Strings has been led by former public school orchestra directors Jamie Parker, who understand the expectations and requirements of local school music programs firsthand. Every member of our team holds a degree in string music performance, allowing us to provide teacher-approved instruments and rentals that support both classroom learning and performance success. Our clean, welcoming shop is designed to create a comfortable, family-friendly experience for musicians of all ages and skill levels. Beyond the store, we proudly support music education through the Atlanta Strings Foundation and community-focused programs, including direct instrument delivery services for orchestra teachers in Augusta. Our rental and rent-to-own programs start at just $18 per month and include a properly set-up instrument, bow, rosin, and sturdy case, all prepared by our performance-degree staff. Our full-service repair shop, led by trained luthiers, handles everything from bow rehairing and fine tuner adjustments to restoring instruments that have not been played in decades.
