ABOUT US
Why Atlanta Strings Stands Out: Experience, Pedigree, and Local Roots
Atlanta Strings is more than a music store. It is an educator-founded resource built to support the unique needs of students, families, and orchestra teachers throughout Lawrenceville, Gwinnett, and the Greater Atlanta area. For more than 27 years, our shop has combined real classroom experience with a professional approach to string instrument sales, rentals, and repairs. Since coming under new ownership in 2020, Atlanta Strings has been led by former public school orchestra directors Jamie Parker, who understand the expectations and requirements of local school music programs firsthand. Every member of our team holds a degree in string music performance, allowing us to provide teacher-approved instruments and rentals that support both classroom learning and performance success. Our clean, welcoming shop is designed to create a comfortable, family-friendly experience for musicians of all ages and skill levels. Beyond the store, we proudly support music education through the Atlanta Strings Foundation and community-focused programs, including direct instrument delivery services for orchestra teachers in Augusta. Our goal is to make quality instruments and music education more accessible for students, families, and educators throughout Georgia.

Our full-service repair shop, led by trained luthiers, handles everything from bow rehairing and fine tuner adjustments to restoring instruments that have not been played in decades.
Known as a hidden gem in Lawrenceville, Atlanta Strings focuses on convenience, quality, and trusted guidance. We offer curbside pickup, sanitized rentals, and easy-access parking behind our Pike Street shop off Culver Street. Beyond rentals and repairs, we help families choose the right instrument sizes, navigate upgrades, and better understand string care.
